The Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) held its annual
culture night in the EMU Ballroom on March 2nd. VSA members, who were
dressed traditionally, served the dinner family style. The dinner menu
included authentic Vietnamese dishes, including salad roll appetizers,
tapioca buns filled with ground pork, and shitake mushrooms. Dessert included
a coconut ginger selection.
Nearly 300 people attended the event, with many families traveling from the Portland area to support their students. In addition, Oregon State University VSA students attended. The entertainment included a variety of skits and dances, including a flower dance that was performed with local Vietnamese adoptees living in the local area. |
